

Joseph was born on July 21, 1960, to parents Charles Poston Sr. and Edwina Green Poston, in Washington, DC.
Joe touched the lives of many. He was a restaurant connoisseur and epicurean, and was well known for his jovial personality and generosity. He was passionate about annual vacations to the Outer Banks with his family and friends, and loved to indulge in countless visits to Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar while in town. Joe was also a truck, motorcycle, and media enthusiast, who devoted much of his time to watching new films with his wife, Rose. He was well known for his IT skills, both at work and at home, and built many cherished friendships throughout his career. He was a kind, giving, caring, hardworking, and outgoing person. Joe was beloved by all and made new friends everywhere he went.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie Ann Poston, with whom he shared 25 years of love. He is also survived by his stepsons, Bryan (Emily) Johnson and Andrew (Jordan) Johnson; step-grandchildren Levi and Cali Johnson; daughters Ashley Woodward and Kelly Hicks; grandchildren Hunter, Carder, Colton, and Oakley. Additionally, Joe is survived by his stepmother, Maria Poston; brother, Charles Poston Jr. (Theresa); sisters Terri Poston and Kathy Oneil; stepsister Mara Corbett and stepbrother Michael Youmans. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Charles Poston, Sr. and mother, Edwina Green Poston.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 24th at Schimunek Funeral Home, located at 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. The greeting of friends and family will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by the service from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres served afterward.
