Karen Eileen Stilts

On March 19, 2022 Karen Eileen Stilts went peacefully to be with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. “Jack” Stilts; devoted mother of Jeanette Shorey, Denise Abreu and her husband Boris, Susan Collins and her husband Rob, and Krista Wilkinson and her husband Brian; loving grandmother of Devin Shorey, Taylor Shorey, Boris A. Abreu, Shane Abreu, Jack Abreu, Patrick Collins, Maren Collins, Cash Collins, Luke Collins, Ashlyn Wilkinson, and Finn Wilkinson; cherished daughter of the late Richard Rooney and Marie Rooney Mertz; dear sister of Terry Rooney and his wife Bonnie Goldsmith, Mary Ann Rainsberger and her husband Jon, Tim Rooney and his wife Carol, and Mimi Romano and her husband the late Ralph. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. (610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014) on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (6455 Port Tobacco Rd, La Plata, MD 20646).
