Lauren Kowatch

On June 7, 2011 Lauren Kowatch (Nee Comen) beloved wife of Michael Kowatch; loving mother of Spencer, Brendan, and the late Claire Elizabeth; cherished daughter of Gerard and Sheila Comen; loving sister of Jeffrey Gerard Comen and wife Erin, Colleen Comen Solomon and husband Jeffrey, Corey Patrick Comen and wife Kate; loving daughter-in-law of John and Mary Ann Kowatch; dear sister-in-law of Robert Kowatch and Kathryn Marie Snyder and husband Rick; adoring aunt of Molly, Jason, Brooke, Liam, Gavin, Mia, Jennifer.

Lauren was a graduate of John Carroll School class of 1988. She graduated from York College in 1992 and received a masters degree from Loyola University. Lauren was a teacher in the Baltimore Parochial School System prior to the birth of her children.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Schimunek Funeral Home Inc 610 W. MacPhail Rd. (at Rt. 24) on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (Hickory) at 10:00 AM, a reception will follow the mass in the parish center. Interment private.
