She is survived by her daughters Anne Nelson of Perryville, MD, Joan Ayers (Charles) of Churchville, MD, Judy McVey (Larry) of Chestertown, MD and son Walter Hanks, Jr. (Brenda) of Rising Sun, MD.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Betty Davis Zeigler and Nancy Bannon; sisters, Lockey Hanks and Carrie Dowell and her brothers, Junior Nickols, Howard Nickols and Harlow Nickols.
Marie has 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren.
