

Mary Loewenstein, 87, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Virginia on February 3, 1938, she was the cherished daughter of James and Theresa Secret.
Mary dedicated her life to her church and her family, living her faith in Christ through her actions. She spent years ministering to others, from her nursing home ministry to teaching Sunday school, and she often shared her musical talent by playing the accordion. Mary's life was a testament to her faith, touching countless lives along the way.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James and Theresa Secret; her brother Frank; sisters Victoria and Catherine; and her beloved husband, George Loewenstein.
She is survived by her brother, John Secret and his wife Pat; her children, Danny and his wife Sue, James, Randy and his husband Gary, and Jennifer and her wife Erica; her grandchildren, David and his wife Dawn, Nicole, Scott and his wife Karley, James and his wife Carly, Brayden, Luke, Jake, and Brooke; as well as her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lainey, Harper, RaeLynn, Carson, Noah, and Hunter.
A viewing will be held on January 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A second viewing will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
A graveside service will occur at 1:30 PM at Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 1601 Taylor Ave, Parkville, MD 21234. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life and share memories of the remarkable person she was.
Following the graveside service, there will be a lunch gathering at Liberatore’s in Bel Air. All are welcome to join as we share stories and support one another in remembrance of Mary.
