I don't exactly know what to write that would best memorialize my Dad.  He was my hero, my best friend, the best Father I could have ever asked for, and the best Pop my boys could have asked for.  I miss him more everyday.  He taught me how to be a man and countless other things that I'm so grateful to have learned.  I'd give almost anything to get to work another day with him, drive to Oakland, watch a football game with him, or just talk to him.  We left nothing unsaid and I'm grateful for that as I am for the 39 years I had this incredible man for a Dad.  People sometimes call me by his name or mistake me for him - I'll always be honored by that, but there's no substitute for the original and best.  Rest easy Dad, you are gone too soon, but you lived a good life and left a good legacy behind.  I will make sure the boys remember you love them and are watching out for them because I know it's true.  I hope to see you again one day after my work here is done.  I love you, putz.

You did an excellent job in fulfilling Ray's wishes and gave him his "party" that he always said he wanted.  So proud of all of you.

Ray has left a large hole in everyone's heart.  He was my go to guy when I had a car question  about my vehicles and many home repairs.  The last thing he walked us through was how to remove safety bars and repair the wall.  Throughout the years there have been many ups and downs in our family.  May we all remember  the good times and keep Ray forever in our hearts.   Will miss you always brother-in-law.

May this candle be in rememberance of my wonderful husband.  Loved you yesterday, today and forever.

The book of life is so quick. It just goes so fast and we think we will live forever. So I lost my best friend on 9/1/2016.  We met at a wedding in Oakland, and I can remember telling one of my friends, "I am going to marry a man from up here".  I sure did and we had 43 wonderful years together.  He was my rock, my hero, my love, the father of my son, he was loved by his daughter-in-law and his grandsons.  I don't know how to really go on without him, but I must.  We had so many fun times and experiences along the way.  His son meant the world to him, they were truly BFF.  His family may be small, but he loved them all very much.  His friends, although he didn't see them often, were always there for a good laugh. He was the type of man who did not know a stranger. He talked to everyone and made jokes about everything. Even the day before he passed away, he had the young man drawing blood laughing at him.  He was that kind of person.  Could he be tough, you bet. Well my love, I need to let you go--I am not sure how but I know the pain will stop and the laughter will return with all the support I have around me.  I will miss you everyday, I will talk to you as I fuss that you shouldn't have left me so soon.  Just grin and bear it because I know you will hear me.  I love you, miss you, and pray that one day we will be together again!!!! Love you "Hunny Bunny".

Ray and I were classmates and football teammates at Southern. He was a great guy with a great wit - and could run faster than any other offensive/defensive tackle I have ever seen! I have many fond memories.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. Good friends are the rare jewels of life  difficult to find and impossible to replace. To have a friend like Ray was a miracle. Please know how very sorry I am for your loss.

We've known Ray for 37 years.  He was a man of intelligence, charm, integrity and great wit. We thought he would always be here - but he is not.  We will miss him.  Rest in peace dear friend.  To Carol and Chris, you have our love.

He was one of our dearest friends and there will always be a hole in our lives without him. We will take comfort in knowing we still have his beautiful wife, Carol in our lives. Love to all his wonderful family members, we feel your loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was a good friend since elementary school. We had good times when we lived in Baltimore where he met his fine wife. Whenever we reconnected, it was like the years had never passed. He was a fine man. I am sorry for your loss.

To my extended family, Aunt Carol Burton, Kristopher Burton and Laura Burton, Brad Muehlberger and Melissa Little Muehlberger, I send my heart, prayers and sympathy at the passing of Uncle Ray. He was great man and strong person who was loved and will me missed by us all, but never forgotten. We will all remember the times we spent with him and as we do we should find peace and comfort that although we grieve at this time of personal loss Uncle Ray is now at peace and rest from all his struggles and problems. 
Like me, I hope you all can think of a time where he made us laugh and smile and keep those times in your memories.

I was a high school friend of Ray's at Southern Garrett Jr. & Sr. High School. He was a good friend and we had a lot of laughs in and out of class. Ray had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed his friendship. I had recently sent him a note on the Classmates.com website. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed by many people.
