

Saundra Elizabeth Williams passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Until her final days, Saundra continued to embody the kindness, grace, compassion, and love that defined her life. She will be fondly remembered for her infectious smile, grand wisdom, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. Her last moments were spent doing what she loved most-traveling abroad and being surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Harlem, New York, Saundra later moved to Westbury, Long Island, where her passion and talent for singing shone brightly. Her musical gifts led to her acceptance into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where she pursued her love of the performing arts.
While living on Long Island, Saundra met the love of her life, the late John Edward Williams, Jr., during a chance encounter at a local park. The two soon married and built a beautiful life together in Amityville , New York, sharing 55 years of love, laughter, and partnership.
Saundra was the devoted wife of the late John Edward Williams, Jr.; beloved mother of John Edward Williams III, Angela Christine Blackman (the late Gregory J. Blackman), Patricia Michelle Williams (Sean R. Williams), and Saundra Elizabeth Green.
She was the dear sister of the late Jacquelyn Wyche (Milton Wyche), Raynard Harrell (Carol Harrell), and Cecil Harrell; and the cherished grandmother of Johnathan Williams, Gregory J. Williams, Shaun Blackman, Brenden Williams, Jordan Williams, Anthony Blackman, Ashley Blackman, Dyani Williams, Yasmine Williams, Tyler Williams, Joshua Williams, Logan Green, Lucas Green, and Christian Williams.
She was also the adored great-grandmother of Treasure Williams and Nori Williams, and a beloved aunt to Marsha M. McLaughlin (Rodney McLaughlin). She leaves behind a host of in- laws, great-nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends - all of whom were touched by her warmth, humor, and enduring love.
Family and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014, Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will follow beginning at 11:00 AM.
