A very talented player, but an even better young man. Tyler's strength of character, kindness and intellectual curiosity were just some of the many fine qualities he possessed. Everyone who met Tyler on his campus visit found him easily likable - with his ready smile and the gleam in his eye - though but brief, we count ourselves quite fortunate to have known him! Tyler was such a beautiful person and a loving soul.  Most exciting was the very close, relationship he had with Emily.  The love they had for each other always made me feel warm inside, even if he was teasing her it made her smile. My deepest sympathy to Emily, Mary and Tina and the rest of the family.

I am so glad that my family and I had the pleasure to spend a week with Tyler in OC last yr and sometime this yr. I have to say he was such a joy and pleasure to be around. He definanty had a contagious smile. My family and I will truly miss him. Tina and Emily you are in my prayers and thoughts daily.

My heart breaks for those that Tyler has left behind.  He was a wonderful guy, always smiling, sharing stories.   He was a great friend to my son, and will be missed terribly.  We are blessed to have known him and had him in our lives.

I had the pleasure of coaching Tyler on the lacrosse field for two summers.  Wonderful person, always willing to put team goals in front of his own.  Very polite, kind young man.  The smile on his face, which was always present, would resolve ANY issues on the field we were facing.  He will be missed surely.

In sharing a few moments with family and friends last night, it became abundantly clear the number of lives Tyler touched. His smile was contagious and his spirit was something to be admired. I had the pleasure of knowing Tyler personally, through my son Ayden. He and Ayden were like brothers, and we considered him part of the family. My heart breaks for the entire Pope family and all of Tyler's friends. Tyler's legacy will live on in our hearts and minds. God bless you all.

Tyler was such a wonderful young man. I taught him in sixth grade and he always had a smile on his face. I am praying for all of his family and friends who will miss him terribly. God bless.

My mother and I met Tyler through my grandson Ayden. The two of  them were like brothers. We fell in love with him  he was like family to us. Even though he  is gone,he will always be in our hearts and thoughts.  Mom mom Shirley and Aydens Gammie

Thoughts and prayers go out to Tina, Emily and the rest of Tyler's family and friends. I've had the privilege of being Tyler's team mom, the last couple seasons for Ground Control Lacrosse Club, during the fall and summer seasons. I am going to miss his little ritual he would due before every single game. He was such a polite, caring and fun young man. His smile is one I will never forget.  He always made me laugh. Tyler worked at my husband's business. I got to meet him and work with him for only a few times, but he will be greatly missed.  He was so pleasant, hard working and had a great smile. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. May Tyler rest in peace.

A beautiful son, grandson, and brother, I never knew personally, but enjoyed, and will miss all the Facebook pictures from his mom who is so proud of him. There are no words. My heart hurts for those he left behind.
