Vernon Harry "Bud" Smith, a World War II Veteran, passed away June 13, 2015 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Smith (nee Alt) for 73 years. Loving father of Diane Bogdon and her husband Al (Butch) and Tricia Reiss and her husband Bob. Devoted grandfather of Trish D'Angelo and her husband Dave, Amey Bogdon and her fiancé Jim King, Bryan Reiss and his wife Wendy. Cherished "Poppie" to great grand children Jack D'Angelo and Reaghan Reiss. He is also survived by his sister Norma Atkinson and sister in law Ann Vinup.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Bud's life at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, Maryland 21014, on Tuesday June 23, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 12:30 PM followed by the Chorus of the Chesapeake at 1:00 PM and Military Honors to conclude the celebration.
