Willie Wagoner, 47, of Forest Hill, MD, passed suddenly on December 29, 2022. He gave with his heart and showed kindness to all who crossed his path. Willie was no stranger to the grill or kitchen and anyone who knew him knows how much joy he gained when cooking for others. His love of country music went hand in hand with cooking and you would be sure to hear music playing while he was cooking. Willie was a devoted employee of Economy Service Center in Edgewood, MD and while he worked as an automotive mechanic, he was also Dave's business partner and friend. His customers thought highly of his loyalty and ethics and will miss him dearly. Willie loved his family most and enjoyed spending time with those close to him. He poured every ounce of his heart and soul into everything he felt was purposeful, including fundraisers for Plumpton Park Zoo with his "niece" Emilie, sporting events and fundraisers for Danny; supporting the kids is what kept Willie motivated. Willie devoted his life to helping others and being kind. He was a light in a world full of hate.
Willie was the treasured husband of Gina Wagoner; devoted father of Danielle Wilson; cherished "Gpop" of Danny Wilson. Gpop was Danny's best friend, sports buddy and supplier of Chick Fil A treats. It was rare that you would see Danny without Gpop and vice versa. He was the beloved son of Jim and the late Donna Wagoner; dear brother of David Wagoner and his wife Amanda; loving son-in-law of Joan Schulze; brother-in-law Ronnie and Barry Schulze and their wives. Willie is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Willie's life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Greenhaven Community Center 1301 Scottsdale Dr. Bel Air, MD 21015. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Willie's name may be sent to support his grandson Danny's care and education to: Stephanie Beal, In Memory of Willie Wagoner, 1095 Telegraph Rd, Rising Sun, MD 21911 or to the non profit organization he supported - Plumpton Park Zoo.
