William Joseph Werner

William Joseph Werner, 72, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2018. He was a long-time resident of Rosedale and, most recently, Abingdon, Maryland. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (nee Hoffman) for 51 years; beloved son of the late John Werner, Sr. and the late Margaret (nee Plumhoff) Werner; dear father of Jeffrey Werner and his wife Lisa, and Stacy Dorsey and her husband Jim; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Mark and Megan Werner, Amanda and Katelyn Dorsey; dear brother of Glenn and Joseph Werner and the late John Werner, Jr. He was a Vietnam War veteran, having proudly served in the US Army.

Family and friends may gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 West MacPhail Road (at Route 24) on Saturday, March 3, 2018, for a Life Celebration from 3 to 4 pm, followed immediately by a service from 4 to 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, 520 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Bel Air, MD 21014.
