Betty Jean Filmer Walker, 79, of Belton, MO passed away October 21, 2017, at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home in Belton, where she had been a resident for 17 months. Visitation will be 10-12 am, Funeral Service 12:00 noon, Saturday October 28 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut St., Belton, MO. Burial in the Belton Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association of America Chapter or Serenity Hospice of Harrisonville, MO.
Betty was born September 30, 1938 to Glen and Rosetta Filmer in St. Joseph, MO. She grew up in St. Joseph and lived her adult years in Belton, raising her family there.
Betty is preceded by her husband, Ronald Allen Walker Sr; daughter, Stacie Sue Walker and brother, David E. Green. She is survived by daughter, Carla Jean Marchand (Rob), sons, Ronald Allen Walker Jr (Cory), Allen Wayne Walker (Valerie) and Steven Glenn Walker (Traci); brothers, Glen Earl Filmer Jr and Gary D. Green; sisters, Nancy Hotzel Filmer and Kathy Sue Long Filmer; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
