

Ellen was born to Annie and Oral Saultz on July 15, 1939. Ellen was born and raised in Belton, Missouri. On July 11, 1960, Ellen and Tom married. They traveled the world together with their daughters, Tammy and Robin, as Tom served in the US Air Force. In 1978, they returned home to Belton. Ellen worked at King Radio in Olathe, Kansas, but her greatest joy in life was cooking for and taking care of family and friends, especially her great nieces, Sydney and Piper.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Hood (Tom), and parents, Annie and Oral Saultz, and many siblings and in-laws, Billy Saultz, James and Norma Saultz, Jerry and Greta Saultz, Patsy and Ralph Minkler, Gertrude and Al Blankenship, David Saultz, Peggy and Terri Durrosett.
Her two daughters and sons-in-law survive her: Tammy and David Allen, and Robin and Chuck Grube. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbera and Fred Simmons; sister-in-law, Pat Saultz; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Bob Cocivera; brother and Sister-in-law, Bob and Heidi Saultz; and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen loved the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and Missouri Tigers, and Fishing with Tom. Go Chiefs!
