

George Robert Peters Jr. was born on June 7, 1952 in Kansas City, MO, the son of George and Thelma Peters. He graduated from Belton High School in 1970. While George had dabbled in a few jobs throughout the years, like selling cars and driving a cement truck, he faithfully drove for Sutton Trucking for 20+ years.
George married his wife of 38 years, Linda, in 1977. They created a happy home in Belton. George and Linda’s daughter, Cindi, was born in 1986. She was the light of his life.
George enjoyed various activities throughout the years, such as, bowling, playing darts, coaching football, coaching softball, riding Harleys, and picking on everyone he encountered. Known as Boy to his childhood family friends, and as Georgie Porgie to the little girls next door as they grew up, he has also been the guy who sits on his front porch and talks with everyone as they go by, creating meaningful and lasting friendships with many.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda (French) Peters, daughter Cindi, and son-in-law Dave McCumber; Son Sean Murphy and wife Robin; Mother Thelma Peters; Sisters Roberta Crider and husband Stacy, Rhonda Phillips and husband Mike, Linda Peters, and his brother Russ and wife Vickie.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Robert Peters Sr.
