Judy, we were your mother's neighbor across the hall on Waterfront Dr. in Columbia, Mo.  Steve recently spotted in the VFW magazine that your husband passed away. We were so very sorry to learn that and wanted to express our sympathy.  We moved 12 years ago to Fl, but my husband is a Vietnam Vet and life member of the VFW. He appreciated all of your husband's work with the VFW over the many years he spent with the organization. We sincerely hope you and your family are doing well. We were not aware of Joe's passing until now. So very sorry for your loss. John just met Robert Ridgely at his business and asked if he was a relative of Joe. Judy, I am so sorry for your loss.  Joe and my recently passed spouse, Bill Foster, were such regular attendees of the classic car shows. We would usually see Joe at most shows. They were good friends and Joe was a sweet person. I know how much you will miss him. Of course, they also worked together for years at the VFW.  Bill is also interred at the Veteran's Cemetery in Higginsville. He is buried at: Section B  site 335 if anyone wishes to stop by after Joe's services.  I share your and your family's pain.
