

Mary Lou loved life, she dedicated her life to her family and friends. She never met a stranger. Always had a smile and a hug for EVERYONE who crossed her path. Her strength grace and joy touched everyone and always knew the right words to give comfort for others. Mary Lou always accepted what life gave her and NEVER wavered in her positive attitude toward life and others. Her perfect day started: eating breakfast out, antiquing, hitting a couple estate sales then finishing with going to the movies with Ron.
Always a believer in education, she finished her BLA degree and Gerontology Certificate in 1993, never giving up hope that she would complete her education. She also obtained an Alzheimer's certificate from Foxwood Springs in Raymore. Mary Lou had various jobs over the years and began her IRS and Dept of Treasury career in 1976, where she retired in Dec. 2011. She was a former Sunday School Teacher with the Belton Christian Church when her children were small. Mary Lou was born to Harry and Ethel Jacoby 09-20-1940 on a farm in Cleveland, MO.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harry & Ethel Jacoby. She is survived by her three children, Troy, Wade and Stacy. Her beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Chaz; sister; Peggy Taylor and her longtime companion and closest friend, Ron Allen.
Visitation will be at The Belton Christian Church 409 Airway Lane, Wed. Aug 14, 2013 at 1:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Belton Christian Church at 409 Airway Lane, Belton, MO 64012 AND/OR Vitas Hospice at 7th East, Kansas City, MO 64132.
