

Sam Majewski, 82, of Belton, MO passed away peacefully at home on April, 26, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Catherine Majewski, and raised in Wisconsin. He is predeceased by his parents, his son, Sam Majewski, Jr., his wife of 34 years, Janice Mitchell Majewski, sister Josephine Gabryzak, and brother Edward Majewski.
After serving 20+ years in the US Army with three tours in Vietnam, Sam retired in 1981. After military retirement, he continued a civilian career in Food Service through his culinary skills, as he was an excellent cook.
He is survived by brothers Raymond Majewski, Jr., Thomas Majewski, Kenneth Majewski, sister, Rita Konyar, sister-in-law, Patricia Goodrich, niece Pam (Majewski) Jarowicz, niece, Jill Ekhlas and several other nieces and nephews.
Also left behind is his best friend, Gary Hornick, who served our country alongside Sam for several years and his wife, Jean who have remained lifelong friends.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to his caring and supportive neighbors for helping him during the grief of losing his wife and during his illness prior to his death.
Sam was a true patriot who loved his country, loved to cook, and loved to watch wrestling. May he rest in the Lord’s love forever.
An inurnment with military honors for Sam will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, 20109 Bus, MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037.
