May 12, 1951 – December 30, 2025
Albert “Al” Craig Canales, 74, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away peacefully near his home on December 30, 2025. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 12, 1951, Al lived a life marked by hard work, love for family, and simple joys.
Al married the love of his life, Connie Fischer Canales, on October 6, 2001. He is also survived by his children Darlene Armstrong (Blaine), Albert Canales (Lejla), and Candace Canales; stepchildren Erica Firkin (Jeff), Angie Kramer (Scott), and Derek Fischer; and his cherished grandchildren Cade, Carlene, Lena, Zavannah, Gage, Mia, Cora and Tage. He also leaves behind his brother Chris Canales (Diane), who shared many fond memories with him over the years.
Throughout his career, Al worked as a retail manager for large home improvement stores, where his leadership and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike. Outside of work, Al found joy in his workshop, crafting birdhouses and other projects that reflected his love for building and creating. He had a special fondness for dogs and delighted in the warmth and magic of Christmas, his favorite holiday.
Al will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the love he poured into his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories shared.
The family asks that you honor his memory by raising a glass in his honor or by building a large ice cream sundae piled high with your favorite toppings—just the way Al would have loved.
