Elda M. Jackson

Elda M. Jackson, 84 of Hernando, Florida died on Thursday, January 21, 2016. She was born on Monday, April 20, 1931 in New Milford, Pennsylvania to Maurice and Rena (Warner) Cole. Elda was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed playing scrabble, coloring, puzzles, crocheting, walking and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Elda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William W. Jackson, Jr.; sister, Esther Leslie and stepdaughter, Barbara Kazmark.

Survivors include her sons, Roy Schermermerhorn and wife Suzanne of New Milford, Pennsylvania, Gary Schermerhorn of Brackney, Pennsylvania and Chuck Jackson and wife Connie of Citrus Springs, Florida; daughters, Linda J. Hunter and husband Jim of New Milford, Pennsylvania and Teresa Brown and husband Rick of Hallstead, Pennsylvania; stepsons, William, Robert and Donald Jackson; stepdaughter, Debra Welch; brother, Raymond Cole of Hallstead, Pennsylvania; sisters, Verna Kunkle and husband Lloyd of Montrose, Pennsylvania and Joyce Bevans and husband Richard of Hallstead, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Scott Schermerhorn, Troy Schermerhorn and wife Nicole, Brandi Miller and husband Jason, Erin Cacala and husband Rob, Wendy Schermerhorn, Riley and Kelsey Brown and Keith and Kaitlyn Jackson and great grandchildren, Troy Schermerhorn, Jr., Nicholas, Madison and Michael Schermerhorn, Colin Miller and Cayden and Emma Cacada.

Visitation, Monday, January 25, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home with a Chapel Service at 3:00 PM. Graveside Service to follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
