Ethel D. Kiernan

Ethel D. Kiernan, 94 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was born on Friday, April 13, 1917 in New Britain, Connecticut to Carl and Tekla (Hanson) Larson. Ethel lived most of her life in New Britain CT and then moved to Kensington, CT before moving to this area 35 years ago. Ethel was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando, Florida, enjoyed raising violets, gardening, knitting, loved bingo and word search puzzles.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Leon F. Kiernan on October 14, 2000.

Survivors include her daughter, Maureen K. Pflugbeil and husband William of Wells, Maine; son, C. Thomas Kiernan and wife Judith of Meridan, CT; grandchildren, Todd Pflugbeil and wife Meghan of Bristol, CT, Glenn Pflugbeil and fiancee Kierstan of Colchester, CT, Kyle Pflugbeil and wife Kathryn of Salem, CT, Craig Kiernan and wife Amy of Meridan, CT and Stephan Kiernan of North Carolina; great grandchildren, Kailah and Tylor Pflugbeil of Montville, CT, Lauren and Alexander Pflugbeil of Salem, CT, Madison Pflugbeil of Bristol, CT and Thomas Kiernan of Meridan, CT.

A Memorial Service of Remembrance will take place at a later date with inurnment at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT.
