

Gary was born in Queens, New York on December 9, 1944. He was married to Marianne Kvanvik who preceded him in death on May 8, 2016. Gary served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After the Army, he had a long-standing career with PanAm. Gary also had a career with Rolling Oaks Utility, and he was a water treatment plant operator for Citrus County where he retired.
Gary had a passion for model trains and sports, and he was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. He also enjoyed traveling and painting. He was also a member of the Beverly Hills Fishing Club. He had a deep appreciation of nature and concern for the future of our environment. Gary was all about his family and particularly loved interacting with the children. He enjoyed dressing up for holiday and theme parties. His Colonel Sanders of KFC costume won first prize at the Elks party.
Gary is survived by his children, William (Kimberly), John, and Gary (Karlene); grandchildren Anthony, Michael, Stephen (Schuyler), Angel, Kristin, John, and Robert; great grandchildren, Sofi, Nikki, and Sienna; sister, Janet; and nephews, Walter, Lawrence, Douglas, and Joseph.
He will be dearly missed by many but especially his beloved friend Nancy.
A visitation for Gary will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home with Crematory, 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465, followed by a memorial service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
