George K. Tower, Sgt. Retired United States Army, passed away on January 11, 2023, at Hospice Care Center, Lecanto, FL. He was born to his late parents Robert J. and Rita L. (McCaffery) on December 8, 1951, in Staten Island, New York.
George was a graduate of Matawan High School in New Jersey in 1970. He was a 21-year veteran of the United States Army and retired as a demolition expert. He was also a paratrooper with over 100 jumps. He was an avid reader and lover of Science Fiction and Western movies. He especially loved the works of Louis L'Amour, and he always had a book or Kindle with him.
George is survived by sisters Karen D'Angelo of Inverness, FL, and Rita (Sal) Trimarche of Inverness, FL; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert J. and Mary Lou (LaPortia) Tower of Schenectady, NY; and brother-in-law Carlo D'Angelo of Staten Island, NY.

A military honors graveside service will be held at Fero Memorial Gardens, 5891 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL, 34465, on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11:30 AM.
