

Gordon Cade, of Dunnellon, FL (formerly of Hialeah, FL), passed away on Tues., Dec. 6, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Gordon grew up in Miami, FL where he met his loving wife Theresa of 52 years. He served his country in the US Army and after marrying Theresa, settled in Hialeah where they raised their four children. He coached Little League baseball for the Hialeah Athletic Association and Hialeah American Legion Post 32 in the 70's and 80's, where he made many boys and young mens' lives brighter doing what he enjoyed. After retiring from the City of Hialeah as Superintendent of Fleet Maintenance, he and Theresa moved to Dunnellon, FL where they helped raise their three granddaughters Jessica, Jennifer and Lisa. He again started coaching, this time girls softball for Dunnellon Little League, where he also helped maintain the fields for play. Gordon is survived by his wife Theresa; son Gordon (Chris) of Ocala; son Steve of Miami, FL; daughter Laurie of Dunnellon, FL and son Ricky (Melissa) of China Grove, NC along with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Charlie (Sally); Carl (Laura) and Harry (Nancy), all of Ocala and sisters Barbara of Miami, FL and Dottie of Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sat., dec. 10th at 10:00 A.M. at Fero Funeral Home, beverly Hills, FL with entombment to follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
