April 30, 1925–July 28, 2025
With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Hilda, who departed peacefully at the age of 100. Born in Puerto Rico in 1925, Hilda was a woman of exceptional strength, resilience, and grace.
As a young mother, she courageously immigrated to New York, embracing a new life filled with challenges and promise. A devoted single parent, she worked tirelessly in the city's garment factories, shaping not only fabric but the foundation of her family’s future. Her sacrifices and unwavering love were the threads that held her family together.
Hilda found joy in life’s simple pleasures—Spanish television novellas, the rhythm of her favorite music, and quiet moments surrounded by her loved ones. Her laughter, stories, and spirit created a home filled with warmth.
In 2001, she moved to Lady Lake, Florida, and later settled in Beverly Hills, FL, where she spent her last years. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who survive her: her devoted son, Felix Lopez; her cherished grandchildren, Tammy Lopez, Natalie Lopez, and Felix Lopez Jr.; and her great-grandson, Dylan Lopez, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Hilda, a beacon of love, will be remembered by everyone for her life and for the lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
