John was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Shell Oil Company as a driver and salesman. He was a devote Catholic and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs, Florida.
John is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Schneider.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Schneider; daughter, Sister Karen Schneider RSM; son, John (Gina) Schneider; grandchildren, Tara and John Schneider.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Friday, April 1, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 W. Country Club Boulevard, Citrus Springs, Florida 34434. His final resting place will be at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, New York.
