

He was born in Van Buren, ME to Theresa and Henry Grivois. While serving in the Air Force, he married Sandra Leech (Cote) and the two raised their 3 daughters in Raynham, MA.
Joe was a firefighter and EMT for the Raynham Fire Department, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. He was a CPR Instructor for the community and enjoyed speaking at the schools each year about Fire Safety & Prevention and the meaning of Flag Day. He was an active member of the Lions Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed his affiliation with American Legion Post #405 for 26 years and served as Post Commander from 1984-1985 and 1996-1997.
He was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish and a former member of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra (Leech) Grivois; daughter Rene Ninesling and husband, Keith; daughters Michelle Grivois and Jaclyn Roth; grandchildren Taylor Ninesling, Trevor Ninesling, Alexis Roth and Sanna Roth. Joe was preceded in death by his siblings Norman “Joseph” Grivois, Joan Galvin, and Rachel Akerley. He is survived by his sisters Jeanine Hodgdon and Carlene Grivois; brothers Eugene Grivois and Thomas Grivois; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Fero Funeral Home, 5955 North Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL on Sun. Nov. 6th from 2 – 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Grace Parish, 6 Roosevelt Blvd., Beverly Hills, FL on Mon. Nov. 7th at 11 am followed by the burial at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
