Kathryn A. Casey, 85 of Lecanto, Florida and formerly from Inverness, died on Thursday, March 24, 2011. She was born in Breese, Illinois on Sunday, September 20, 1925 to Charles and Olivia (Kuane) Casey. K.C. was a retired secretary for the United States Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. She moved to this area 25 years ago from Virginia.
K.C. was a judge for the National Kennel Club. She owned and trained 42 award winning beagles. She also, had several parade horses that she trained and rode.
Survivors include her friends; Diane Smith of Beverly Hills, Florida, Donna Darnell of Crystal River, Florida, Mary Owens of Inverness, Florida and Barbara Peek of Inverness, Florida.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Fero Memorial Gardens.
