He was born in Springfield, MA, on 15 DEC 1944. Parents, Rita Plantier Avery and Lewis F. Avery and received a high school diploma.
He was married to Cheryl-Lyn Avery on 14 FEB 1987.
Lewis had a career in the Military for the US Army and CTARNG. He was a member of the American Legion and had a passion for tv, rifle range, and computers.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cheryl-Lyn Avery; son, Darrell and wife Sandra Avery of South Carolina; step-son, Don and wife Doreen Errede of Florida; daughter, Dawn and husband Tim Madeley of Connecticut; grandchildren, Dakota Avery of Connecticut, Dillon Lamour of Connecticut, Dominic Madeley of Connecticut, Emily Madley of Connecticut, Drina Clarke of Florida, Devon Clarke of Florida, and Heather Errede of Florida.
A funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
