Louis Marchetti, 88 of Beverly Hills, Florida died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his home. Louis was born in New Britian, Connecticut to Emma and Corrado Marchetti on Thursday, April 26, 1928. He played fast pitch softball with the Dovelettes and was captain of the team for 25 years. He was inducted into the Connecticut Hall of Fame. Louis was the superintendent of the East Hartford street department. He and Peggy have lived in Beverly Hills for 14 years.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Peggy. He is also survived by one daughter: Judith Marchetti of Benson, North Carolina; one brother-in-law: James Davis of Spring Hill, Florida; 2 sisters: Gloria Intravia of Newington, Connecticut; and Dottie (Ken) Skoglund of New Britain, Connecticut. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
