Milly Rene McClanahan

Milly Rene McClanahan returned to the arms of our Lord Thursday, June 22,2023 at approximately 4:43 PM in the Ocala Regional Hospital, Florida. Our Heavenly Father introduced her to the world on February 29, 1932, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where she was born to the late David Macon and Florine Hogan Macon.

Milly was a loving wife to the late Cornelius McClanahan; Sr. Milly was married for 59 years. She leaves behind one brother, Roy Macon, who goes by AC of Arkansas. Milly had seven sisters and five brothers who predeceased her. Milly was a very religious woman; she loved the LORD and has read the bible from beginning to end many times during her life. Milly as a child had a nickname of (CHIP). She loved to ride her exercise bike every morning and sometimes in the evening. Her favorite song was "On The Rough Side of the Mountain".

Milly had 8 children of whom five predeceased her. Left to celebrate her home going is one son: Cornelius McClanahan, Jr. of Newark, DE, two daughters: Loretta J. Goins of Ocala, FL and Lyvon Upshur of The Villages, FL. Milly leaves behind a host of Grandchildren, Great and Great-Great grandchildren which are so many to name as well as Nieces, Nephews and In-Laws.

We the family want to thank you MOM for your love, friendship and spiritual guidance. You were truly a blessing to our family. We depended on you for so much for so long. The road ahead without you is going to be a lonely journey. Our Hearts are sad, and our eyes are weary, but we find comfort in knowing that you are at rest and peace and enjoying your heavenly rewards with our precious Lord.

A visitation for Milly will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home & Life Celebration Center, 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Fero Memorial Gardens, 5891 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
