Rich was born March 17, 1942 in Manhattan, NY. He attended the University of Delaware Office of Continuing Education. Rich was a member of the Chevrolet Legion of Leaders Honor Club for his outstanding performance and sales accomplishments. He built and inspired teams of people in his Amway business. His success was recognized throughout the organization. Because of his stellar accomplishments, Rich served on the Advisory Board at Marymount University for Students in Free Enterprise.
Most recently, Rich was a team member of Hilton Homewood Suites in Fredericksburg, VA. He received the Outstanding Team awarded by the Fredericksburg Regional Hospitality Council and the Spirit Award; the highest award given to a Hilton employee.
Rich had a deep respect for our Armed Forces, First Responders, FBI, and Police and sincerely thanked each of one for their dedication and unselfish service. He had a passion for learning and strived for excellence in all that he pursued. He enjoyed playing his trumpet and loved competitive sports, especially golf, football, tennis and softball.
Rich was a beautiful soul with a quick wit, humor and compassion immediately connecting with anyone he met. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his nieces Barbara Mullane of Hudson, FL and Valerie Anderson of Sebastian, FL and nephew Robert Anderson of Wildwood, New Jersey.
