Robert Rodrigues, 78 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 in the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on Saturday, December 9, 1933 in Queens, New York to Manuel and Caroline (Petry) Rodrigues. Robert was a retired truck driver and moved to this area in 1997 from New York. He was an avid reader, a dog lover, enjoyed tending to his fish pond and loved teasing his family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Caroline Rodrigues; daughter, Carolann Rodrigues; brother, Edward Schmidt; sister, Emma Kafka and grandson, Anthony Rodrigues.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Viglietta Rodrigues of Beverly Hills, Florida; son, Robert Rodrigues of Holbrook, New York; daughters, Mary Vollgraff of Farmingville, New York, Theresa Vollgraff of Beverly Hills, Florida, Ann Marie DeMelfi of Shirley, New York and Joann DiUbaldo of Babylon, New York; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM. Chapel Service on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home with a Mausoleum Chapel Service to follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
