Ruth J. Melton, 85 of Citrus Springs, Florida died on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born on Saturday, January 10, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Martha (Siukkola) Fagerland. She was employed by Ford Motor Company until her retirement, when she moved to Florida. Ruth was noted for her love of golf and was the ladies golf champion seven times at Citrus Springs County Club; where she had five 'hole-in-ones' to her credit. Fishing, playing the organ, traveling, as well as contributing to charitable organizations such as the ASPCA, Humane Society, St. Jude's and the cancer society were a few of Ruth's passions in life.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Melton.
Ruth will be remembered by all that knew her and her love of life. Especially, her long-time companion, Woody Miner and his children, Marla and husband Craig Robinson, Robyn Miner, Brud Miner and wife Linda, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
