Zolika Anna Heath

Zolika Anna Heath, 82 years of age, passed away on November 1, 2024 in Dunnellon, FL. Zolika was born September 7, 1942 in Boston, MA and was an only child. As a child she lived in New York City with her mom and dad, Boyd Heath and Lodzie Heath who have pre-deceased her.

The family moved to Ohio when Zolika was in grade school and also lived in Louisiana and Texas before moving to Florida.

She received her Nursing Degree from Mt. Sinai in New York City and worked there after she graduated.

She also worked at Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in New York City.

Zolika was a Nurse Anesthesiologist for 30+ years and during that time she spent several years at University of Alabama, Birmingham, teaching nursing students.

She continued her education and received her Master’s degree from the University of Florida and her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Florida in 1988.

Zolika finished her career working as an Investigative Case Worker for Medicaid.

Zolika was very well read, always investigating and researching all topics. She was very politically active and supportive of her party’s cause. She was independent, feisty, adventurous, a seasoned traveler and loved nature and birds.

Zolika will be missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service for Zolika will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home & Life Celebration Center, 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465.
