Angel Sarris

Angeline “Angel” Saizis Sarris of Troy, Alabama passed away on July 29th, 2014 where she was lovingly surrounded by family and friends. “My” Angel as she was called by her 7 grandchildren was preceded in death by her parents; Vincent “Gampa” Saizis and Josephine “Honey” Saizis. “My” Angel is survived by her two sons, Vincent (Cathey) Sarris and Frankie (Angela) Sarris and her grandchildren, Zach, Toni, “Baby” Angel, Giavanna, Nikki, Parish and Ansley. Angel was a native of Birmingham and grew up in Norwood alongside many of her lifelong friends and cousins. She was a graduate of John Carroll High School. She later married and settled in Hoover where she raised her family. To many people she was best known as the Beautiful Face and Fun Personality of the family owned business, Sarris Seafood & Steak Restaurant. She retired to Troy, Alabama where she lived the remainder of her life. The most important role to “My” Angel was that of mother and grandmother. There was not a time you would talk to her that she would not tell you how proud she was of her two boys and all her grandchildren. For those of us who had the pleasure of knowing “My” Angel, we have lost a truly Beautiful Lady who will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday August 2, 2014 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clayton Self, Paul Noto, Louis Anthony Noto, Vince Alfano, Charles Noto, Andrew Noto and Honorary Pallbearers will be Vincent Sarris, Frankie Sarris, Zach Radney, Jack Alfano.
