Betty Ann Culpepper was born on July 12, 1931 to Clarence and Nancy Ludie May Reeves in Childersburg, AL. She went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Culpepper; parents; sisters, Maxine Haynes, Nada Parks, and Clarice Vines; and brothers, T.L. Reeves and Neil Reeves. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Marshall Culpepper (Candy) and Marcia Manning (Jimmy); grandchildren, Kristi Richardson (Greg), Matt Speer (Jennifer), Geoff Culpepper (Kristen), and Melissa Linam (Bo); and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Alex, Harper, Kaiden, Chloe, Baylor, Cason, Lily, Duke, and Reagan.
Betty was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and was very passionate about her faith and her love for Jesus. She had a true servant’s heart and was a caretaker. She loved to cook and everyone loved her chocolate cakes most especially. Betty was an avid Alabama fan. However, her greatest passion after the Lord was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew her as their Granny.
The family will host a visitation and Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 1 pm, with a celebration of Betty’s life to follow at 2pm. The burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
