Betty Kelly Jones

Betty Kelly Jones passed away peacefully at her home on December 26, 2024, after a brief illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a devout Christian whose faith and love for her church inspired many.

Betty taught Sunday school at Huffman Baptist Church for several years, sharing her passion for scripture and her commitment to guiding others in their spiritual journey. She had a long and distinguished career with South Central Bell and BellSouth, retiring in 1987 to focus on raising her granddaughter, a role she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin Jones, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.

Betty is survived by her son, David Jones (Wayne), and her sister, Barbara McCormick.

A graveside service to honor Betty's life will be held at Hopewell Cemetery, 705 Hopewell Dr. NE, Hanceville, AL 35007 on Thursday January 2nd, 2025 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local church or charity of your choice, reflecting Betty's lifelong dedication to her faith and community.

A graveside for Betty will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hopewell Cemetery, Hanceville, AL 35077.
