Billy Haskell Berry

Billy Haskell Berry, age 82, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday March 4, 2018. He was born in Glencoe, Alabama March 8, 1935. Billy graduated from Ohatchee High School in May of 1953. He worked with Alabama Department of Transportation (State Highway Department) for 31 years. He and his wife Dot were the owners of Centerpoint Florist for many years. He spent many years at Wahouma Ball Park coaching baseball and football which he truly loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ledell and Grace Lorine Berry and his sister Ann Bryant all of Ohatchee, Alabama; infant son Kenneth Berry; sons Ron Berry and Clint Berry. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dot Berry; son Brian Berry; daughters Kaleen Riley (Dr. Allen), Christy Belanger (Hugo); five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Ohatchee Cemetery.

The family expresses true gratitude and thanks to all the caregivers, staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital, East Glen, and St. Martin’s in the Pines Hospice Care, and Compassus Care Hospice.
