On March 18,2026 Burnette (Ginger) Griffin Hill departed 'this mortal coil' at age 100. She had outlived her husband Dr. Charles Cornell Hill, and her older son Dr. Charles Cornell Hill, Jr. She is survived by her son Dr. Greg Hill (Roberta), her grandchildren Amanda Chappell (Jeremy), Lindsey Fowler (Matt), her great-grandchildren (who lit up her life) Ethan Muncher, Elin Chappell, Nolan Fowler and Libby Fowler. 'Aunt Ginger' also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who are dearly loved. When she had been able to attend, she was a long-time member of Canterbury Methodist Church.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Covenant Place in Gardendale where GiGi lived from 2007 until January 2026. Their caring, patience, forbearance, and unlimited understanding are greatly appreciated. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab for their dedication, care and hard work to help make her last days as comfortable as possible.
