Carl Jefferson Phifer, age 93, went to be with his Lord on January 27, 2020. Born on December 23, 1926, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Smith Phifer and his parents, Winnie Ostrea and Carl D. Phifer. He is survived by his children, Sandra Miller (John), Connie Brady (Mike), Brian Phifer (Cathy), and Eric Phifer (Lyssa); grandchildren, Angela Preuc (Chris), Alan Brady (Amanda), Brianna Phifer, and Dylan Phifer; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10am with the funeral service to follow beginning at 11am at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery with military honors.
