Carla D Hill

Carla Dobbs Hill, born May 2, 1955 died Friday, July 10, 2020 in Guntersville surrounded by loving family and friends. Carla was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years Gary Hill, mother Martha Jean Dobbs, father Clem Dobbs, brother Clemmie “Butch” Dobbs, aunt Dot Stephenson, aunt Sarah Anne Allred, aunt Corinne Goble, uncle Bill Moore, uncle James Marsh, nephew Micheal Pennington, and mother-in-law Zana Hill. She is survived by daughter Kaleena Hill, son Cody (Poppy) Hill, granddaughter Karlie Hill, nephew Blake Dobbs, sister-in-law Marie Dobbs, aunt Mary Jane Moore, aunt Dennis Nell (Jim) Hammond, father-in law-Ellis Hill, brother-in-law Reggie (Elaine) Hill, sister-in-law Shelia (Leon) Pennington, niece Cindy Pennington (Che Mccrary), great nephews Hunter Pennington, Joshua Beeson, Justin Beeson, and many more relatives and close friends. Carla was a boss through and through. Whether it be during her many years as a banker (AmSouth, Regions, Hometown, Cadence Bank) or among her group of family or friends she was always in charge. She most enjoyed her days spent on the boat on Lake Guntersville with her late husband Gary. Her life forever changed when she became “Granna” to her granddaughter Karlie Hill; they were an inseparable duo. She loved to shop and live life to the fullest. Her life cannot be contained in such few words; she will be deeply missed by her family and friends to whom she meant so much. A graveside service will be held for Carla on Monday, July 13th, 2020, at 10:00 am, at Austin Creek Baptist Cemetery, 305 Brakefield Road, Hayden, Alabama.
