

BROWN, CHARLES ALLAN, age 63 of Irondale, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2022 with his son and sister by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, James McWhorter Brown and Dorothy Hamilton Warren Brown; sister, Jerry Sue Warren; and brother, John Earl Brown. He is survived by his son, Jason Allan Brown (Emily); grandchildren, Raegan Lane Brown, Reese Davis Brown, James Nichols Brown and Carter Allen Brown; sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Mignone Brown; nephews, Raymond Gregory Brown and David Earl Brown; and several cousins, great nephews and nieces. Allan was the youngest of four children. The saying “They broke the mold when the good Lord made him” is so true. He loved life and lived it to the fullest, never met a stranger and never minded engaging in conversation. Allan was a wonderful father, loving grandpa and amazing brother. He loved his family and friends. He loved the Alabama Crimson Tide and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. Allan was a member of Irondale First Baptist Church and graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1978 then graduated from San Jacinto Junior College in Houston, TX. Most of his career was in commercial HVAC and sheet metal, he was most recently employed by the Sheet Metal Workers Local 48 in Birmingham as a Sheet Metal Mechanic/Supervisor. He was also an accomplished martial artist. His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 10-11 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Charles “Charlie” Allan Brown.
