HEICHELBECH, CHRISTINA, age 16, of Clay, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Johanna Hammond. She is survived by her parents, Darrell and Carol Heichelbech; brother, Joshua Heichelbech; grandparents, Ed and Mary Jo Heichelbech; boyfriend, Trey McMurray; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Christina was a junior at Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School where she was a member of the Valley Singers and she was to be inducted into the Spanish Honor Society in the spring. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was active in the youth group and the choir. Christina loved animals with an ambition to become a veterinarian and enjoyed volunteering her time to many causes. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 5-8 PM. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes beginning at 10 AM with a visitation from 9-10. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes or The Humane Society.
