NEWSOME, CORINNE “CORKY”, age 84, of Trussville, passed away July 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Newsome; and son, David Newsome. She is survived by her sons, Michael Newsome (Mercedes) and James Newsome (Jane); daughter, Cindy Holley (Rusty); grandchildren, Michael Newsome, Jr., Nina Christian, Scottie Newsome, Christie Rose, Angela Foshee (John), Brittany Thomasson (Tim) and Olivia Newsome; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Corky danced at the Alabama Theater Mickey Mouse Club and graduated from West End High School. She was a member of Argo Park Church of Christ. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 10-11 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Her service will begin in the chapel at 11 AM with Bro. Rhodes Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
