Doris B. Bryson

Doris B. Bryson, age 87, of Leeds passed away May 29, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Morris H. Bryson; daughters, Trish Kelly, Marsha Walker and Nancy Smith; grandchildren, Ron Kelly, Stacy Harrison, Wade Walker, Forrest Walker, Lindsey Parker, Madison Smith, Meredith Smith , Garrett Smith, and Noah Smith; great granddaughter, Catherine Walker; sister, Jo Nell Holbrook; brother, Huey D. Barnett and a host of nieces and nephews.

Doris loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and faithfully served Him at Huffman Baptist Church for 40 years. She enjoyed serving in the WMU, teaching Sunday school and visiting residents in the nursing home as part of the Hug ministry. She earned her bachelors degree at Florence State University and her MBA at Samford University. She taught business courses at Tarrant High School and Jefferson State. Her true joy in life was taking care of her family, especially her nine precious grandchildren. Doris went home to be with the Lord on her 69th wedding anniversary.

Her family will receive friends Friday June 2, 2017 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
