CRAWFORD, EARL S. Earl S. Crawford, age 93, of Birmingham, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010. He was a member of Brewster Road Baptist Church. Earl retired from Southern Railroad after 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Crawford; and two sons, William Douglas Crawford and David Earl Crawford. He is survived by his son, James Crawford (Terri); two daughters-in-law, Sherry Crawford and Nancy Crawford; two grandsons, William "Doug" Crawford and Walter "Dean" Crawford; four granddaughters, Diane C. Waltman, April C. Hardt, Courtney C. Jeely, and Keri C. Williamson; and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11 AM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with Rev. Jess Tenpenny officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Brewster Road Baptist Church, 1661 Brewster Rd., Birmingham.
