She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Dean, baby daughter Marie, who died at birth, daughter Elaine Dean, daughter-in-law Jennifer Dean, her parents Roy & Florence Fulton and 2 brothers Arthur and Charles.
Edith was born in Northport, AL, but grew up in Fayette Co. She lived there until she graduated from Berry High School in Berry, AL. She came to B'ham, worked in the TCD assorting room for about 5 years. She went to Spokane, WA, lived there 3 years and the rest of her life was in Birmingham. She was a member of the Church of Christ and loved worship and bible study.
Edith was a homebody, preferring to be home rather than other places. She loved animals and liked to feed the birds and squirrels in her backyard.
She is survived by her son, Gary Dean, granddaughter Tiffany (Adam) Britt, grandson Colton (Elizabeth) Dean. Four great grandchildren, Barrett, Winter, Silas, and Nicolette, and good friend Deloris Randolph.
