Elizabeth was one of the most considerate people there ever was here on earth.
Elizabeth always had a calm demeanor and was respectful to everyone. Her exclamation of “Goodness” to shocking news or “Goodness Gracious” if the news was really bad was about as “Riled Up” as anyone would ever see her or hear spoken from her. She was a woman of few words but made a big statement by her calm presence! She was the center of her family and devoted to their health and welfare.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian and had a close relationship with God. She always prayed at meal time and inspired the ritual of bedtime prayers together as a family unit.
Elizabeth was a member of Central Baptist Church. She loved spending time with friends and especially her family. In her spare time, she loved to read and shop on QVC. Wherever her family went she always enjoyed going whether it was to the beach or visiting family in the Tennessee mountains.
She was a loyal and loving wife for 48 years to Blev Strickland, who preceded her in death by only 8 months. She is survived by her adoring twin daughters Beth and Beverly Strickland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her.
