Eloise B Monroe

Eloise was born January 31, 1920 to Lena and Frank Bayles (deceased). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Dennis Fleet Monroe Sr.

Mrs. Monroe is survived by her children Dennis Fleet Monroe Jr of Albuquerque, NM and Sandra Monroe Cairns (Robert) of Birmingham. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Cynthia Boone Watson, Margaret Holly Boone (Jackie), Laura Boone Graham (Troup) all of Birmingham, Alabama, Dennis Fleet Monroe III (Terri) and Timothy Collins Monroe of Gallion, Alabama. Mrs. Monroe had four great-grandchildren, Mallory Watson Murphy (Joshua), Annabeth Allyn Watson, Troup Brazelton Graham, and Jacob Thomas Graham. Her extended family grandchildren, Cindy Cairns Evans (Joe), Susan Cairns Hatcher (Allen), Craig Eicher and Matthew Eicher. Mrs. Monroe is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Monroe worked for Bromberg’s Mountain Brook for 42 years and was a Charter member of Cantebury United Methodist Church.

Services will be held Tuesday May 20, 2014 at Elmwood Chapel. Family will receive friends from 10AM until 11AM with services following. Burial will be immediately following in Elmwood Cemetery.
