Emma Jean Clayton, age 91, of Irondale, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Emma Jean was born November 18, 1927. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71years, James W. Clayton; parents James Percy and Pansy Fuller. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Bailey (Jerry), Donna Shoemaker (Bobby), Patricia Waldron (Lee) and Debra Graham (Danny/deceased); son, James Clayton (Kathy); 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Emma Jean was a loving wife and mother and every morning she would sing a song to her children upon their awaking. She helped her husband start Clayton Industries and worked there for many years. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her and loved her. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 10-11A.M. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a Celebration of Emma Jean's life and a graveside service following at Elmwood Cemetery at 11A.M.
